Album Notes

James West is a second generation Irish-American whose family hails from County Down, Northern Ireland. He brings a unique voice to many Irish favorites, but is also known for injecting his shows with a modern edge, including music from contemporary Irish and Celtic bands like the Saw Doctors and Great Big Sea. And occasionally, he lets his punk roots show with numbers from Flogging Molly and Social Distortion, to name a few.

This album features guest appearances by Martin Marron, another Irish singer from Virginia Beach; Tom Cassidy, an uilleann piper from New York; and Tom Flatley, a fiddler and James' first performing partner, also from Virginia Beach

****"The Brigid" has been added to the playlist for "Ceol na nGael", the Irish music program featured on Sunday afternoons on WFUV 90.7FM in New York City!****
