Something for everyone who loves music.

Fire
This CD is a must have for anyone looking for something new and refreshing in Christian music. This CD has a little of something for everyone who is a fan of modern, adult rock. If you are a fan of top 40 type music then I suggest checking out "When I go on", "Before Forever", "Holy Kiss" and the inspirational track "New", all 4 of these songs could easily make the rotation on any major contemporary radio station across the country. If you like songs with a little bit more of an edge then be sure and listen to "Deeper Still" & the title track "Fire". There are also some great slower tracks such as the haunting "Allaso" and the emotional "In the Garden of Wildflowers". For the Ballad lovers out there pull out your lighters and select "Lost in You" and my personal favorite "Father's Eyes", you will truly be inspired. The bottom line is this is an amazing CD by an artist that will without a doubt one day be a big name in Christian music.

A celebration of Christian faith and hope
author: Matt Greenwald, Urban Tulsa Weekly
You don't always have to plunge into the entertainment business as a pre-teen or extremely young person in general. Take Jamey Tiffee, for example, a singer/songwriter involved with music for around 12 years. He started out in the bars or Louisiana, Oklahoma, Nevada, and everywhere in between.
By 1994, however, he settled into the occupation of church musician. He's found that church music provides unique opportunities in the areas of recording and ensemble work, while also giving him a chance to express his Christianity through a full-length album entitled Fire.
Fire is rooted in bright pop music, hard guitar rock, and even a little electronica. Tiffee's wavering, edgy voice is set to fiery guitar progressions atop thick drum hits. His vocals have a definite hard rock sound. He even jumps in with a little rap here and there. For the most part the somgs are positive in mood, using sprightly, shiny chords to accentuate Jamey's lyrics of religious devotion and enthusiasm. A few glistening electronic pulses throb in and out of the rhythm to add a quirk to the overall rock/pop vibe.
Like many writers who incorporate religion into their music, Tiffee's lyrics tend to create an atmosphere of bursting, unbroken happiness, like a huge smile from ear to ear across the songs. In opening track "Fire" he exclaims, 'You are the one I adore/You are the Lord evermore/Beginning and end, inaugurated conclusion/Reproving darkness by removing the illusion/Reveal intent of passionate desires/Oh Lord, I love you.'
Immediately with the second track he sings, 'He said, I will be your light in times of darkness/I will cary you when you can't stand.'
Overall, the whole album combines musical brightness with lyrical euphoria to create a celebration of Christian faith and hope, effectively complimenting the prevalent tradition of Christian rock and pop.

Excellent, but....

Definitely recommended, however I personally am looking forward to hearing more from this writer when he gets himself backed up by a live band. This album suffers from a 'manufactured' sound, and the songs deserve better. Still very happy to have added it to my collection, though!
