"... solid songwriting and engaging stage presence." - Billboard
"For me, folk music tells a story about folks, simple truth-telling and magical mythology that invites the listener to lean in to the larger circle of life. Jamie Anderson is in that circle and she is singing some wonderful songs." - Holly Near
Touring nationally since 1987, Jamie Anderson is known for a voice as smooth as Shawn Colvin and a sense of humor as wacko as Christine Lavin. She's entertained in hundreds of coffeehouses, concert halls, colleges and festivals all over the US including the main stage at the National Women's Music Festival and the Kerrville Folk Festival.
Witty, charming and sometimes topical, Jamie can run you through the entire gamut of emotions in one show, from the ache of "Maybe You Miss Me" to "I Wanna Be A Straight Guy" (her answer to Louden Wainwright's "I Wish I Was A Lesbian"). Jamie also has taught songwriting at Duke, music festivals and other places.

... Anderson's best collection yet ...
author: Victory Review
Yep, the title cut is an "on the road" song, and one you'll keep humming long after you've cooled your engine. This is Anderson's best collection yet, mostly new stuff with a couple of her classics on the caboose. ("Dark Chocolate," one of the most sensuous songs I've ever heard anybody sing, and "I Wanna Be A Straight Guy," classic Anderson humor and wit.) I saw Jamie play at Shakabrah Java last month, and her concert was a funny, poignant, sensual and downright friendly as a concert can be. She has a way of making each person in the audience her best friend. This album feels like a conversation; singing about travel, loneliness, social concerns, friends' problems and kicking around life in general with a soft-toed shoe. Through it all Anderson maintains a light heart and witty style. You'll wanna hug this album. A lyric sheet is included. (Nicki Ehrlich)
