Album Notes

Jamie Davis holds a position amongst the pantheon of great male vocalists with a full deep baritone voice that has been paired with some of the world’s most famous talent. Davis counts Patty Austin, Tony Bennett, George Benson, the Count Basie Orchestra, Rosemary Clooney, Jimmy Cobb and Billy Cobham.

Davis was named the \"chocolate baritone\" by Sir Michael Parkinson, the BBC’s arbiter of important international Jazz, after his 2007 performance in London with the BBC’s sixty-four piece orchestra. Last year’s schedule included the Cheltenham Festival, the Jerry Lewis Telethon in Las Vegas and tours at home and abroad. Davis also performs regularly for both public and private events in United States and Europe.

During his career, Davis has traveled and performed extensively around the world as a headliner and as the lead vocalist for the Count Basie Orchestra. His full rich, deep baritone voice was tapped to narrate ‘A Time To Remember,’ a docudrama which won the Black American Independent Filmmakers Award.

His first solo CD, \'Its All About Love\' was released in late February 2002 with rave reviews. This CD features all beautiful love ballads, which is Jamie\'s forte.

\"Jamie Davis has proved a worthy heir to the bands Joe Williams-Jimmy Rushing Chair\" – Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Review by Mike Drew, March 2001

\"Davis\'s talent was consistently evident whether he was reprising \'Autumn Leaves\' in a burnished baritone or engaging in a boisterous jump blues with the crowds support.\" – Mike Joyce/Washington Post
