Jamie Jess is a multi-talented singer/songwriter who has been rocking the Midwest for the last 7 years. She has been performing in clubs as well as some of the largest music festivals and corporate events, such as Harley Davidson (events and rallies), Miller Brewing Company, and also performing 5 years in a row at Milwaukee's "Summerfest" Music festival. For 2002 Jamie had done 150 shows. She has managed, booked, and fronted her band, while writing, recording and co-producing her latest CD, "I'm Free".

Jamie's distinctive appearance, stage presence and her ability to be intimate with her audience, has earned her a growing fan base, nominations and awards.

In the summer of 1998, she released her debut CD. It received positive response from her fans which reflected in CD sales and radio airplay. In 1999, Jamie was voted in by the public and given the award for Female Vocalist Of The Year from the Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI). Jamie released her 2nd CD titled, "BREAKING BARRIERS." In 2001, and her 3rd CD titled "I'm Free" was released in November 2002.This new CD captures the power and energy of Jamie's live performance. "Working on this CD has taken everything I have, everything I want, and rolled it all in dreams, fears, hope, wants and desires. It's a musical diary, reflecting the power of change, and the power of the positive." Jamie has teamed up writing, recording, co-producing with David Christopher (guitar player, songwriter, producer, engineer) Presently Jamie & David are recording another CD and a live CD.     I'm Free is the third release from singer/songwriter Jamie Jess. She is joined by David Christopher who provides the majority of the instrumentation on this seven-track collection. Not only did Jamie and David collaborate on composing but these two talented individuals also produced this cohesive CD. Their music is a blend of rock, retro and electro acoustic. They site a wide range of influences including The Beatles, Jewel and Sheryl Crow whose subtle touches are found on I'm Free. Yet, this CD is organic and original with melodies and emotion being the primary ingredients of well-constructed, well-written songs. Lyrics about hopes, fears, desires and change are executed with honesty and passion. Jamie has been taking the Midwest by storm. She is known for her captivating stage presence and continues to win new fans at the various shows and festivals that she has played. This CD is like a scroll as each song gently flows into the next. It is intelligent music with a mix of up-tempo tracks melding with more reflective tones. I'm Free is a liberating free-style CD from the dramatic opener to the rich close!

    Out of the five tracks on IM FREE, the up tempo songs stand out for me the best. I had hoped for a whole CD of music but this sampler of Jamie Jess only serves to want to hear more of her original numbers.
