JAMNESIA is a Los Angeles area band consisting of Jimmy Leveau - vocals, Daniel Hess - guitar, James Murphy - harp, Rick Williams - bass and Corvelle Conedy - drums.
The new CD -- JAMNESIA includes electric and acoustic blues (tracks 2, 4, 5, 9, 11-15), blues-based originals (tracks 1, 3, and 6-8) and a funk tune (track 10). All are originals except 6, 9, and 15. We consistently get outstanding reviews on this CD such as: "THIS TOTALLY ROCKS. EVEN MY 7 YEAR OLD KID LOVED IT." The artwork is in a class by itself. You will find this CD to be exceptional.
Also – if you dig this Jamnesia CD, you will love the previously recorded JoJo Blues "Somewhere in Long Beach" cd available at cdbaby.com/cd/jojoblues ....A little bluesier but still way cool.....

The most exciting guitar track I've heard from anyone in a long time
author: Mark Hicks - Disc Aficionado
This Jamnesia album is really fine! A nice variety of styles...well played by all the band. Good songs, as well, which is really hard to come up with. The album is well paced, and it's refreshing to have tight tracks that
don't overstay their welcome. It's rare to have "flash" and
"taste" and "feel" (ala Albert King) in a guitar performance, but "That Cannot Be Bought" combines all of that...really a TREMENDOUS performance. This track really "goes" somewhere new! As with truly great recordings...it leaves the listener wanting more! I'd like to get my hands on a 15 minute 'extended mix" of "That Cannot Be Bought"! I've heard so much music, yet I don't know know where some of those notes played and those hot licks were coming from!!! In fact, I've probably heard every variation of blues-based music over the past forty years...the intensity reminded me of Cream, but what was played sounded totally fresh. Honestly, that is the most exciting studio recording guitar track I've heard from anyone in a long time. To be blunt, this is no "vanity project". Anyone with a few bucks can make a cd. They have come up with something that has real flashes of brilliance. Fine band. I really enjoyed this music The guitar playing is inventive and fiery, yet tasteful.

Not all blues but ........
author: roberto arias @ blues reviews and news
we get all kinds of cds from guys tryin' to play the blues. well, when this jamnesia cd showed up we were a little skeptical (maybe because the cover art was too cool). anyway -- we are not skeptics anymore. if you need blow you away harp playing and just the baddest guitars and drums we've heard in a long time, you need this. "can't get my h-m-o jo workin', dd baby, broadcasting baby, any funk." this thing is better than most of the name pro stuff we hear.........guess no one on here qualified for a second generation h'wood handout .......

this really is hot
author: ralph artis @ indiemuznews
initially liked the inspired cover art on this (kind of a bootleg look) and it sounded ok on the website i downloaded it from. plus it was only $6.95.
anyway, when i received it and cranked it at home, i realized that 1) the cover art and inserts were really cool and, more importantly, 2) this cd really is DA BOMB. the intro tune "tainted" has a middle period claptonesque verse with a neil young type chorus. the 3rd tune "harpbreaker" was like van halen meets paul butterfield, 4th "stuff ya gotta squash" is one of the best indie blues tunes ever heard, the solo acoustic "within you without you" ("WY WY" not to be confused with WAH WAH) was kind of a sonic sorbet leading into "tryptich"; the jam at 8 "that cannot be bought" sounded like live cream one crossed with the 1st mahavishnu orchestra album - absolutely fabulous lead and slide guitar work on this and throughout the cd. #8 "any funk can do this" might even make mr. brown get up off that thing and file a lawsuit.
highly recommended..........you'll love it
