Album Notes

This CD is a refreshing blend of piano and violin, combined with rich, inspiring words, accented by Jana's unique voice.

Although she is a native of Oklahoma, she grew up as a pastor's daughter in Arizona. She began writing and performing her own compositions when she was thirteen, and traveled to several states throughout her high school years, performing for various events.

She won the Oklahoma "Outstanding Female Vocalist" award in 1992, and has worked with Christian artists such as Watermark, Ken Holloway, and Mark Schultz over the last five years.

Jana's mother, a concert pianist, began teaching her basic piano methods at age three and Jana performed in her first piano recital at age five. She says she cannot ever remember "not playing the piano." Furthering her piano studies with another teacher until she was fifteen years old, she then took voice lessons the following four years.

A turning point in Jana's life, which shaped the content of her music, came when she was fourteen and both of her parents were afflicted with cancer. It was during that time that she realized peace and comfort that could only come from God. Her inspirations for the instrumental ingredients come from the Celtic and classical genres. She enjoys the various strings (violin, viola, cello) to accentuate the moving pieces that come from her heart. Kyle Dillingham on the violin, adds fullness to Jana's music on this CD. Jana is fully aware of the healing influence of music. As she worked in several different hospitals, completing her nursing degree, she would turn the radio on to soothing music and see the comfort and relief it brought to her patients. Bringing God into the equation, her own songs have changed lives. For instance, "All Glory" is a song that has helped terminally ill patients to remember the hope they have in God and to know they are never alone.

Her album, "All About You" was recorded live during a worship service at River of God Christian Church, Enid, Oklahoma. (All albums contain original material only).
