JANA LIGHT – the other side of heartache
She’s a hurtin’ gal with an attitude. One after another, every number in this feast of a dozen songs pulsates with killer tunes and you-done-me-wrong lyrics that either flow like honey or pound like the surf in a storm. With a style that sighs its way smoothly through the slow and tender or gets downright sassy-classy in the up-tempo, Jana Light puts her superb and expressive voice through the paces to deliver a message that’s as real as it gets. Put that all together with some of the best players in Nashville and hold tight for an unforgettable listening experience.

Unique Voice
author: RicoShe has a unique 'girly-girl' voice, sort of like Nina Persson from The Cardigans... real sweet and a bit naughty. But with more melancholy/sad lyrics: "Hey whiskey boy - were you just teasin' when you told this used up girl that she had a reason to pull out all those coffin nails and feel beautiful again." "I'd tell you about my dreams, but I've not been sleeping" Earnest Country/Bluegrassy tunes from a girl's perspective, and a nice version of Mark Knopfler's "All That Matters".
top class album

Jana comes through again. It's a different style from the Celtic Soul days but her voice is still amazing.
Start to finish, this CD is amazing.
author: Rebecca M.I have listened to this CD about 60,000 times and never get tired of it. Jana's voice and style is better than any female artist I've heard in a long, long time. Put that together with the CD's top notch guitar, melodies and rhythm, and you have yourself one FINE album to stick in your player--on repeat.
