In the words of co-producer, Peter Kohl, “Jana Peri has recorded a holiday classic with universal meaning; not the typical holiday fluff, however. The song expresses the tensions, frustrations and expectations thrust upon us during ‘the most wonderful time of the year.’ But in the end, she discovers that the joy of the season is found, not by waiting in a checkout line or in a traffic jam to Grandmother's house, but by being with the one she loves.”

“I Hate The Holidays (But I Love Spending Them With You)” was recorded at Beauty Rock Studios in Long Island City, NY and was produced by JANA PERI and PETER KOHL. It features JANA PERI on lead vocals, electric guitars and glockenspiel, JACOB CALLIS on bass guitar and background vocals, and NED STROH on drums, percussion and background vocals. The artwork was created by noted artist CLIFF MOTT.
