Precious Details continues Jane Anfinson's electric violin-driven, singer-songwriter sound from her days with Minneapolis' Own. This album of well-crafted melodic rock treats listeners to stories of birds, daydreams, road trips and relationships. John Wright (bass) and Eddie Estrin (percussion) play, as does former Own drummer David Lewis.
Amy Lotsberg at Collected Sounds webzine says. .
"There is so much going on here. Don't even think of listening to this CD at a low volume at work. It just won't do. If you must, at least use the headphones and crank it." (http://www.collectedsounds.com/cdreviews/preciousdetails.html)
"Though not prog in the classical sense, the album does have a certain post-new wave/eclectic feel with prog undertones. Great sounds and wonderfully produced. Beautiful violin playing and the vocals are varied and quite nice. Definitely check her out." - The ProgRock Website, http://www.progrock.homestead.com/Featuredperformerspage.html

Simon at Terrascope online says, "At various points the album reminds me of Portishead, P.J.Harvey and Laurie Anderson, but these are just echoes as the album has a character all its own."
