Album Notes

Jane Eamon has something to say. With the release of CD #3, Deep Water takes you on a soul-satisfying journey of gospel and folk written in Eamon’s well-crafted style. “It’s the CD I’ve always wanted to do,” says Eamon, “and I was so fortunate to get assistance from FACTOR here in Canada to do it.”

“This album is a beautiful look into the deep water of where songs come from, a study backed by FACTOR. Each song holds great representation of genres and feels and lyrics that strive for new conversations on old subjects.... time will, it is promised, take care of the rest...an album to be very proud of here and now”. ~Lorraine Hart, songwriter/producer

Eamon has won awards for her songs and has twice been chosen folk artist of the year in the local Okanagan Music Awards. Her music has been featured on many folk radio programs all over the world and she is a staunch supporter of all things songwriter related…. teaching, giving workshops, writing CD reviews, supporting a local songwriters in the round and participating in songwriting camps and showcases as often as she can.

“It’s so heart-warming that people are ‘getting’ original music,” says Eamon. “Everywhere I go to teach classes, people are asking questions about writing and performing, about getting better and learning. It’s not so much the ‘I want to make a million bucks like Brittany, anymore. It’s how do I get better? What makes a good song? That’s the stuff that drives me.”

And driven she is. Currently planning an Eastern Canadian tour to promote the new CD, there are also plans to attend the Folk Alliance conference in the states next year. “I’m already thinking of the next album. You have to.”

Jane Eamon has most definitely something to say.
