ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From Janis Ian: "Davy" has always been one of my favorite songs, but I never felt like I
quite got it right as a singer. Leave it to Jane to fill in the missing
pieces.
From Patty Larkin: Jane Miller spans the world of jazz standards and solo acoustic tunes with a live, organic feel that draws me in.
From Eric Skye: An intimate little journey through complex, yet uncluttered harmony, beautiful guitar tones, solid grooves, and melodic lines that unfold in unexpected and wonderful ways.

This is Jane Miller's fourth CD, but her first solo guitar release. Noted jazz writer Scott Yanow included a full feature of Jane in his 2013 book: The Great Jazz Guitarists: The Ultimate Guide. An Associate Professor in Berklee College of Music's Guitar Department, Jane has kept busy contributing articles to Acoustic Guitar Magazine, was the monthly columnist for Premier Guitar Magazine's The Jazz Box, and teaches online for jamplay.com. She plays regularly throughout the Northeast United States, and continues to compose and arrange music for solo guitar and her various trio and quartet formats.

Jane Miller - New album Three sides to a story
Wonderful expression of creativity and passion for guitar. Simply beautiful! Thank you Jane!

I hope you love it as much as I enjoyed recording it.
I had been encouraging Jane to record a solo guitar album for years. She is a fabulous arranger. Her take on these originals and standards on this CD is so sophisticated yet accessible to every listener at the same time. She has a lot of variety stylistically and uses three beautiful sounding guitars throughout. I hope you love Three Sides to a Story as much as I enjoyed recording it.
