Album Notes

I created these guided meditations after several years of research focused on knee replacement surgery. This guided imagery set has been used by many patients with excellent results in their ability to maintain a higher level of calm and peace of mind going into surgery, and increased comfort after surgery. They found the meditations after surgery and deeper relaxation especially helpful following physical therapy.
Research:
Over the years, numerous evidence-based studies have confirmed the benefits and positive results of using guided imagery to prepare for surgery and other medical procedures. These particular guided meditations to prepare for knee replacement surgery can help you achieve the following results:
Before surgery: Feeling calm, peaceful, confident, and increased relaxation. During surgery: Requiring less anesthesia (a cost savings!); less or minimal blood loss; and a more balanced immune response (less chance of infection).
After surgery: Awakening calmer, more peaceful and comfortable, better pain management – needing less pain medication; fewer post-op complications such as infection; quicker return of bowel and bladder function - after general anesthesia, resulting in shorter hospital stays (another cost savings!); and fast healing and recovery time.

The tracks for after surgery and deep relaxation provide added comfort, can improve healing and recovery time as your mind body responds to the positive imagery to increase comfort after physical therapy sessions and rehabilitation.
