A few weeks ago I bought Shushan the Palace and I have been listening to it a LOT. Though I am agnostic, I have an interest in older hymns, especially Christmas-themed songs. I love the holidays, but I find it an uphill battle keeping it special under the commercial onslaught.
I love your album. Honestly, it touches me deeply. It's traditional while at the same time experimental, and most of all, it's musical. I could go on about song after song, but it's just a beautiful collection. I don't have a favorite, though Sheep May Safely Graze has been haunting me nonstop for the last few days.
Well done, Issa. It's such bold music, while at the same time comforting.
