Janet writes songs from traditional gospel to special occasions to contemporary gospel. Each song on this CD, "Songs of Praise, Volume I," expresses a variety of tempos and uplifting lyrics. Janet sums up her message by singing, "Lord, I Hear You," as she thanks God for His love, because he has made her “New”. As she strives to show her appreciation, Janet tells others that Jesus can do the same for them. "Drive my Life" is Janet's prayer to God for His continued guidance in her life. With a thankful heart, Janet sings "Thank you for the Dream" in memory of the great Civil Rights Leader, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Janet encourages listeners to get on the “Right Track," and stay with the Lord, because when one experiences God’s great and tender love, it will make all the difference. Janet hopes that her music will bless each listener in a special way, and encourage a deeper relationship and a closer walk with God.
