Janette developed an interest for music, particularly Jazz music, from an early age. As a student she was an active vocalist in various constellations performing Rock music.

While pursuing her career in entertainment sheÅ@studied under the well known Japanese artist and musician Ryudou Usaki, studies which would soon set her on her way toward a career as a professional vocalist.

In 2000, Janette won 1st price in the 1st Annual Kobe Jazz Vocal Contest. She has performed throughout Japan as well as in the U.S.

“Reborn” is Janette’s new album. While the concepts for her previous albums have been more Jazz orientated with regards to choice of songs and style of arrangement, “Reborn” takes a new direction. With Jazz arrangements of popular songs such as The Eagles “Desperado”, the English traditional “Scarborough Fair” and the slightly unorthodox trio backing her, she has managed to renew herself again. Janette has been Reborn.
