Bio-Janice Butt
Storyteller -Teacher
People everywhere find themselves in a different place when Janice says "That reminds me of a story."
A retired teacher and member of the National Storytelling Network and Southern Order of Storytelling Janice teaches storytelling as well as performing throughout the southeast. "Stories connect us to the world and our own souls."
Founder of Women's Imaginative Guild of Storytellers, Janice dreams of new ways and places people can tell stories. She directed the 3 annual StoryFair performances at Callanwolde and organized 10 performances at the Royal in Historic Norcross to celebrate Women's History month in 2004.
Janice Butt's stories weave a comfortable quilt that wraps around listeners and
brings them in close. Her performances include her original creations "In Love With JFK" and "Not So Scary Stories". Janice draws on 30 years experience as a teacher to create stories like "Sammy the Gossip" which teach and entertain.

The stories are ones you would have shared growing up but are now shared with others. It gives you a peek into someone elses family and their customs and stories.
