For me, Janira's music on "Time And Season" is nothing less than pure soul - that is they play from the heart.  The band's mix of a jazzy, rock and funk sound come together like nothing I've ever heard before.  Janira Campos' singing brings each song to a heavenly climax as the lyrics talk about life as it really is.  It is truly refreshing to see that there are still bands out there that can cook as Janira does.  They're a blessing.

Janira Campos and her band are from the NYC region. Their music is a blend of cultures and styles that include the blues, jazz, R&B, rock, urban and world. Their values are Christian based and the goal of their songs is to honor God. Their debut CD Time and Season is a diverse and spirited twelve track collection that fulfills that mission. Janira has a wide vocal range that can be smooth as silk or somewhat gritty depending on the mood and tone of the song. The other seven members of the band are experienced, talented players who bring drama and depth to Janira's compositions. The CD starts off strong with 'Sara' featuring soulful vocals, soaring guitar leads, funky keys and solid instrumentation. The song starts off slow and poignant as it builds up to a funky grove. 'Jesus' is sung and played with passion and energy - a very inspiring track! 'This Too Shall Pass' has Latin like instrumentation reminiscent of Santana, melding well with Janira's expressive vocals.
