Drum phenom Gene Lake, son of World Saxophone Quartet founder, Oliver Lake, has worked with Steve Coleman, acid/punk/jazz group, the Screaming Headless Torsos, the high priestess of funkadelica, M'Shell Ndege Ocello and has toured worldwide with Marcus Miller and David Sanborn.

Electric bassist Mat Garrison, son of Jimmy, bassist for Coltrane, Garrison is definetely one of, if not the best, jazz bassist on the scene today. His past employers would surely agree as they comprise a formidible group: Gary Burton, Bob Moses, Betty Carter, Lyle Mays, Steve Coleman, Gil Evans, Joe Zawinul, John Mclaughlin, John Scofield, Mike Stern, Joni Mictchell and Chaka Kahn.

Newbie Nat Janoff, without the impressive curriculum vitae of his band members lets his playing do the talking for him. A jazz guitarist (read: former rocker) delivers both fluid bop and searing fusion effortlessly on this album. Composer of all tracks, Nat Janoff has the talent, both as a player and a writer, to go the distance in the jazz world.
