Jeanne was what the experts call a child prodigy.
She began playing chords and melody at the age of three.
Her professional career began at age fifteen, playing piano and singing.
In addition to live performances, she was a staff musician and vocalist at WCCO radio and television along with her late husband, musician Willie Peterson.
She has played shows for such notables as Bob Hope, Red Skelton, and has performed with jazz greats Sonny Stitt, Bud Shank, Marion McPartland, and Paul Whiteman.
For her outstanding contributions to music and to the community, Jeanne Arland has been inducted into the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame, has had a day declared in her honor by the Governor of Minnesota, and most recently was the recipient of the Arts Midwest Jazz Master Award.
She just celebrated her 65th year in show business, and 80th year of life!

I gladly risk becoming the Department of Redundancy Department to bring another new Jeanne Arland Peterson CD to the attention of all the Corner Office dwellers.
The clever "My Calendar" CD features 12 songs - that's right nothing gets by me, one for each month. No matter what your favorite month or time of year, you're going to find something you like on this CD.
Without any desire of becoming a late-night infomercial pitchman, I say "What a nice gift for that special someone." The playing on this CD is vibrant and beautiful. What did you expect considering the source?
I would also like to add that Jeanne's son Paul produced both CDs and the piano sound and production is excellent. (Union fine print: Jeanne signed an AFM Bandstand Agreement for both CDs, and to my knowledge no animals were harmed in the making of these CDs.)
