Sweet Japonic's appealing sound is a mixture of rock, blues, funk, soul, reggae, and improvisational jams. Their music is infectious, unbelievably fresh, and bright. The popularity of the band has been rapidly on the rise as they constantly put on intense live shows as well as putting out rock solid albums.

Sweet Japonic has been playing consistently around West Michigan for two years. Vocalist/guitarist Lucas Wilson has a sound reminiscent of Dave Matthews, John Mayer and Van Morrison. The subdued singer has an infectious presence about him that leaves listeners wanting more. Lead guitar player Matt Young is often compared to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton in his styling. Bass player Ryan Braman creates deep, smooth-groove sensations that fuse with drummer Ross Veldheer to create an accurate and dynamic display of rhythmic ingenuity.

Their 7-song "Front Porch" EP released in October 2003, was admirably received among the media, and launched their presence to there world. The song "Change My Ways" made it all the way into the highly acclaimed SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas on a selective composition CD, produced by gigamerica.com.

Sweet Japonic's first full-length release, "Through the Eyes of Lucie Blue," is out and solidifying the fans great respect for the band. This Disc represents their fluency in creating their own captivating sound, and showcases the band musicianship in it's entirety.
