Album Notes

"Jennifer Armstrong, an accomplished musician and storyteller, recently released a wonderful children's music CD, I Can Be Me.

Her voice is crystal clear, smooth and inviting and her musicianship is outstanding as she effortlessly goes from playing banjo to the fiddle, guitar and Scottish bagpipes.

The musical production is also exceptional.

There are 17 eclectic folk-inspired songs on this CD geared for 3 to 7-year-olds. Let's hope for another collection from Jennifer soon."

Fred Koch - Chicago Parent Magazine, February 2002

REVIEWS

As an educator, very good movement songs for young ones
author: Alexandra Martell
This CD is a great balance of movement songs, which little ones need to break up their day (especially kindergarten). I have used the Hello song for a Families Around the World thematic unit in kindergarten as well. The students find it catchy, and interesting to know other greetings. Also, the fact that children sing on the CD makes other children feel invited into the singing and movement component easily! I have shared this resource with many.

An excellent choice for parents or caregivers who want a change from commercial

No cheesy children's voices or annoying songs on this CD. i can be me is loaded with fun, singable tunes (accompanied by kids who can actually sing) in a range of styles and using a variety of instruments. We have enjoyed this CD at home for a while, and recently gave it as a gift to musician friends who instantly loved it.

Jennifer's song "I Can Be Me" is an exceptional example of stellar song writing for children. Wow. Her song is crafted in melody and word so simply, yet so powerfully. "I can be me better than anyone. Yes! I can be me...." It is direct, catchy, and oh so effective. What a talent. I thoroughly enjoyed this CD- it is so full of joy and bursting with life.

I loved this CD.

Really enjoyed this CD. I bought it specifically for the Maori Stick Game because I teach a stick game with this tune and the record I had had been destroyed. So I was pleasantly surprised when I heard May There Always Be Sunshine. My granddaughter has a beautiful voice and my heart skipped a beat when she loved this tune and sings it often.
