ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
NAMED ROCK ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2006 AND BEST ROCK SONG FOR "HELP ME" 2006 BY JUST PLAIN FOLKS. READ MORE AT WWW.JPFOLKS.COM. THANKS!!

Born in 1978, my father taught me how to play guitar at four years old. I had a vivid dream that year of standing on a stage in front of thousands of people playing my own music & making a difference. I have worked everyday since then to acheive my goal.I began singing in my brother's bar band when I was 6 years old & was playing keyboards for the group when I was 8. When my brother quit the band in 1984, I became a bass player practically overnight. It was truly my niche. I had never felt power like that before. I had control over the audience, command of the stage, & the power to overcome my own insecurities...all through music. I wanted people to leave my shows feeling every emotion possible and I worked on my delivery constantly...on and off the stage. Although I have had no musical training, I have managed to perform regularly and somehow channeled the creation of music from somewhere. I give it up to God for without Him I would have no possible way to play & sing this way...let alone know exactly what it was that I was supposed to be doing. He has a purpose for me and I have every intention of carrying out his master plan. Because of my passion for music, I believe I will have the greatest impact that way.
I have not been writing long, but have complete determination to be one of the best. I want to be different & unique, and since everything has been done, it's often difficult to create something new, but I will.
Like all new artists, you determine your style & genre, and since I was raised on country music, tapped into bluegrass, had a love-affair with the blues and R & B before I discovered the power of rock...I was really sad that I couldn't be them all. In alot of ways, I will always be all of those things & it comes through in my performances.
One thing stood out about Rock music that was unlike any of the other styles of music that I played-THE ENERGY!! It was undeniable! I'm addicted to it. Just like people are addicted to drugs, some need money, some choose alcohol, some choose sex....I choose music.
I want my audience to feel like they are in control of their own destiny. That they can make a difference. I want them to embrace this energy, take it & use it to make a difference for themselves. Find your passion & deliver it...that's why we're here.

Move over girls
Jasmine rocks. After you listen to this album, you'll have to agree; those two words say it all. Hard guitar beats, hot sultry vocals, and tight drum lines. Joan, Pat, Melissa... you girls can leave the stage now...Jasmine has arrived. (Note to Jasmine: I'm yours)

Nothing short of awsome!!!
If you want some music to remind you of bands from Vixen to Evanescence, or a vocal grit that spawns comparisons to everyone from Melissa Etheridge, to Pat Benatar (I agree) or even as bold as Darby Mills from the Canadian band The Headpins, Jasmine's fantastic vocals puts you in a place to bring to mind many great female vocalists. Song, for song, you can't stop comparing her to some pretty classy ladies. But, as another reviewer noted, I stop with "November." This is by far a song that makes your heart stop. The lyrics are haunting, the music is perfectly placed, and I just can't play it once. I hope that more of radio gets Jasmine Cain on the air.

I DO NOT WANT MY MONEY BACK
TITLE WELL "I WANT MY MONEY BACK" IS THE BEST TRACK BUT THERE IS PLENTY TO LIKE IF U LIKE A TRUE ROCKING LADY. THERE IS ONE BALLAD ("NOVEMBER"). THE 2ND BEST TRACK IS "SWEET EUPHORIA". THE RECORD IS "AOR" WITH SWEET HEAVY ATTITUDE. LIKE PAT BENATAR OR HEART WELL U WILL LIKE THIS GREAT PIECE OF MUSIC.

fantastic !! a great blend of rock and blues !!
this is one of those cd's where there is not just 1 or 2 good songs . they are all good ! this lady sings and the guys play straight from the soul !! if you thought pat bennetar was good this is even better !! and much newer than classic rock !!

When Rock Comes to Town
It's not often that a new artist is able to capture the essence of rock 'n' roll, but Jasmine Cain does it better than most with the music on this release. Containing musical influences ranging from Pat Benatar to Evanescence to Ten Thousand Maniacs, this CD comes closer to capturing the live essence of a band than any artist I've heard in a long time. Watch for them to go all the way.

I liked the energy and the music
I saw you the last 2 years at full throttle saloon in Sturgis during bike we. My girlfriend was with me the 2nd time, and we really liked the music and the band. Went out and searched the web and got your CD. Was surprised she was in her mid 20's, sounded like she had been performing for a long time, that being a good thing, lots of energy.

Awesome! A must own if you love rock and strong female vocals!!
This is an awesome CD... Whether you like older rock, newer rock, or anything in between, this is timeless. The vocals are amazing, the instruments are excellent, lyrics and arrangements first rate. Oddly enough, my favorite track happens to be "November" which is a slow break from the rest of the rocking action and it even has backup violins. Truly, this is a must own!!
