Album Notes

'Ahlam Jasmin' in Arabic means the 'Dream of Jasmin'. Famous oriental dance artist Jasmin Jahal has collaborated with world-renown choreographer/producer Raqia Hassan and popular composer/musician Mohamed Ali of Egypt to create this fantastic collection of oriental dance music. 12 exciting tracks features two original classical dance pieces perfect for the belly dancer, upbeat beledi style music, a piece for Alexandrian Melaya dance and a fantastic drum solo.

Jasmin Jahal is a highly respected contemporary artist of Middle Eastern dance. She is one of only six dancers to earn the award "Best Modern Egyptian Dancer" by the International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance. Jasmin is one of the first American oriental dancers to be invited to teach and perform at the international dance conference known as 'Ahlan We Sahlan' held annually in Cairo, Egypt. Jasmin Jahal promotes the art of Middle Eastern dance and music with quality, dignity and beauty.
