Album Notes

The songs on Acoustic Harbor were recorded in my laundry room at my house on an old analog Tascam Porta Studio 4-Track. The songs are stripped to the core and are recorded with the philosophy that less is more. In today's plastic, digital age I find a certain comfort in recording this way and I hope the listener enjoys hearing the songs in their original form. No studio, no back-up musicians, no overdubs, no bullshit. Just me thumpin' on my guitar in my home. Like the way Woody Guthrie used to do it. Or those early bootleg Bob Dylan recordings. I like the personal feeling of inviting the listener into my own home through the songs. The songs are not pristine or polished, but neither is life. And so it goes. I hope you enjoy Acoustic Harbor........

Damn!

Where the hell has this guy been? These are some great friggin' songs. I'm hooked on this album. These songs are written in bone and blood. This is a rugged, yet intimate recording. Stormy Weather Coming Down is probably the best song I have heard this year.

sounds like rain

What a surprise. A friend told me about this cd. When I listened to it it was nothing like I expected. There hasn't been a better acoustic cd released in the last five years, period. If you are looking for a cd for a lonely Sunday evening in the rain, look no further than 'Acoustic Harbor'. It is recorded so bare, yet there are certain sounds in there and I am not sure where they come from. What a treat.

Intimate Writings

This is a phenomenal cd. It is a rare event in today's society where an artist so intimately exposes himself. The entire recording has a certain sound which is as honest as they come. I am absolutely astonished this guy isn't a worldwide songwriting sensation.

The thing I like most about this CD is that you feel what the artist feels. His lyrics seem to touch me in my universal chord yet I know how they pertain just for me. His presentation - simple, direct, powerful - enhances the moods he is projecting so that the listener definitely hears and knows what this CD is about - heartfelt love, tender change, clear views of what is both complex and simple. It is right on target, so direct...
