Album Notes

Jasongs is basically the alter-ego of Jason Arvanites along with his wifey-poo Elaine. Making music together for the past 20 years. "Brain Jam" is the start of a series of albums intended to celebrate the cerebellum, motivate the medulla, and coax the cortex. Each song falling into one or more of the areas known as the "Four F's"; Fact, fantasy, feelings & fun. It's also a trip around the world. Visiting different cultures and people that make life all the more interesting. A brief summary: Pompton Princess: This is a song I wrote for my bride-to-be way back in 1983. It contains a lot of imagery and evokes pleasant feelings. Wash Your Hands: This was inspired by the fact that we all should. Note: It's not just for employees. And you can take that from Ranji. Make Friends with the Bugs: I've seen some people so afraid of these tiny little guys that they could have won a gold medal for the gymnastics they performed attempting to get a grasshopper off their shirt. Chores: Not a word we like to hear very often. But if everybody did their chores don't you think things would run a lot smoother. Just ask Jamaica Joe. Folk Song: If we have the benefit these days of having parents who love and care for us, don't they at least deserve to know that we appreciate it? Can I get an aye? Dinosaur: What is it about a dinosaur that is so fascinating? They disappeared so long ago and yet we keep digging them up. Love Your Neighbor: If everybody followed the "Golden Rule"; ("Do for others what you would have them do for you.") this world would be a much better place. Vacation: In my experience, the anticipation of going on a trip is always more exciting than the actual vacation. All that went through my head, when I wrote this, was two kids bouncing on their beds. Yelling at the top of their lungs. Funny Noises: Let's face it. We all make them. They all make us laugh. And there's nothing we can do about it. Yeeha! Mongo, Mongo Meat Muffins: This started out as a phrase I would blurt as I walked about the house. It had no real significance. It just became such a part of me that it was only natural to turn it into a song. And, of course, food is a topic nobody can resist. Wundervoll! It is our sincere desire that you have a great time listening to and dancing along with our music. Have a good time. And keep that Brain Jammin'!

Better Than Most CDs aimed towards Adults!
author: Pete (Crusader)
This is the kind of kids' music that won't make an adult cringe to hear it. The music is international in flavor, reminding us that we all must share the planet, not just with people, but bugs as well. The variety of musical presentations makes it difficult to believe it's only one small group of folks doing all that. Just buy the whole CD, thar ain't a bummer among 'em!
