HAND PAINTED LIMITED EDITION***NOW SOLD OUT***! REGULAR EDITION AVAILABLE NOW: The album title, "Returning", refers to the 24th hexagram of the I Ching. Before setting out to begin this recording, I first consulted this ancient Chinese oracle for direction and for inspiration. The hexagram was also chosen as the hand painted CD cover. "Returning" consists of four differing synthesizer drones to facilitate experiences while sleeping, meditating, astral/out-of-body travelling, drug taking or any combination already mentioned (or not..). Points of inspiration surrounding this release are the works of La Monte Young, Eliane Radigue and Coil as Time Machines. It is through the latter two artists, especially, where I began to understand that synthesizers can act as a conduit of other worldly timbers used in a provocative compositions; without relegating said instrument to base, traditional uses.
