Album Notes

Mostly acoustic solo, recorded in my living room, George Herbert Moore's living room, Living Room Coffee House (Jackson, MS) and on a campground in Ohio. Featuring, "Stir It Up", "Miracle", "Crazy Curlyhead (live)" and more.

Living Room came after a couple amazing trips across the country playing gigs, house concerts, and hooking up with all sorts of musicians that I might not have met "stoking the star maker machinery" in LA. I recorded it mostly in my living room back home, but also in Jackson, Mississippi, a campground in Ohio, and in George Herbert Moore's trailer in Burgaw, North Carolina. The Septuagenarian blues man taught me so much, that I had to put a little of our jams on here to spice things up. He's truly a joy and I think this album captured a bit of that spirit over a myriad of topics. The most intimate disc I've ever done. (Please check out the Hi-Fi samples. The disc's warm sound defies the tag "home recording."

I listen to this while writing poetry, getting ready, or while just sitting and reflecting on my day. Whether I'm rocking out to "Stir It Up" or getting my daily doze of inspiration with "Miracle," I am always in a better mood after listening to this CD. It's a piece of work that with each listening, there comes a new revelation- another layer of insight is realized. I greatly recommend it.
