19 songs. 98% acoustic. Includes Anali, Celia, Vaudeville, Church by the Sea, and, the beautiful song written with Peter J Harris, Winter in Brazil.
I like this album. I'd been hanging out with a great group of musicians from UCLA at the time. Most of the guys were studying jazz and ethnomusicology. We got a really nice organic sound. Some of the songs feel a little young to me now, but tracks like Anali, Ballet Girl, and Celia represent a nice folk style that I don't do as much anymore. Then there's the beautiful words of Peter J Harris that I set to music on the bonus track, Winter in Brazil.

Distil glistens with heart and soul!
author: Elizabeth
This is the kind of music that sounds like Jason Luckett went into a studio, poured his heart, soul, and life into his lyrics and arrangements, and it all came out awesome with just one take. Pop, rock, folk, soul, jazz.....they all just poured out effortlessly, straight from his heart. Effortless? I know it wasn't, but all the tracks are so full of honesty, so skillfully done, awesome definitely applies!
