Album Notes
Music and lyrical influences come from everywhere and everything. From the faintest sound to the most intense unbelievable story. Listen to the signals and messages being sent from our overly industrialized, digitized, and medicated world. I try to absorb all forms of rhythm, melody, harmony, dynanics, and tones and use what I hear, see, and feel and the tools at my disposal to create something musical. I am constantly searching for ways to express and evoke emotion in my writing and playing in hopes that somehow through a lyric, melody or rhythm I can connect with someone on an entirely different plane, in a different time and place. I believe in the idea that music is a universal language with a mystical power. Songs and musical motifs are like mantras and chants in how they connect us to something larger than ourselves. I approach the art of music and songwriting like a chemist, chef or painter might approach their craft. I try to take different ingredients and put them together to make something. Sometimes it works and sometimes not, but it's always fun and interesting.

My personal story is complete with immense joy and pain, tragedy, abandonment, risk, euphoria, depression, anger, forgiveness, success, failure, embarrassment, redemption, triumph, pride, self loathing, love, hate, longing, regret and so many other emotions and experiences that we all have during our human existence. Above all my personal life history has and continues to be challenging yet incredibly fulfilling.

Music has been a guiding force and teacher for as long as I can remember and I owe a great debt to a higher power and the forces of nature that provide inspiration and substance in my life.

My dream is to connect with people from different walks of life around the globe and I intend to do it with music as my vessel. In what capacity I am not sure, to what end is unknown, but I know that music brings me closer to something larger than myself and if I am to dedicate my existence on this earth to abstract concepts incapable of scientific proof, I want it to be love and music. In that order.

Death is my destination... the rest is adventure. Music is my vessel. Love my companion and family my home. Friends are my wind. Sobriety is my ally and protector. The earth and it's gifts are my substance and teacher.
