Jason and Nolan's music can take you soaring through the sky as soon as the first track "Horizon" starts, and then cradles the listener in comforting arms in "The Sky Looks Down". Uplifting and inspiring! I enjoyed the orchestration on Eclectric very much. A job well done!

Quite good listening. Very light and nice. I can't say anything bad about it, but of course it didn't knock my socks off either. I think the kids'll like it.

The moment the CD started I knew I would like it! It catches the attention of the listener immediately and takes you to a world of it's own. You can't help but feel the passion and love for music that Jason and Nolan have. Their love for the violin is so apparent in each and every song. Their music is expressive, exuberant, and peaceful at the same time!

This is the cd for your next road trip. Or maybe I should say, listening to Ecletric is like taking a road trip. Within moments of playing the opening track, “Horizon”, you’ll be humming along on a drive through a lush landscape of violins and orchestration. Jason and Nolan continue the journey with “A Clear View” and the exuberant “Jubilance” (which, undoubtedly would be a treat to see live) then sweep through the Irish countryside with their rendition of “Danny Boy.” “The Painter” and “Blank Canvas” seemingly place the listener in the mind of an artist as he is creating, then contemplating, then madly creating again. It is the ebb and flow of artistic thought set to music. The pace momentarily slows down for the emotional piece, “Coming Storm” and their remake of the beautiful hymn, “It is Well” but picks up again for an extremely fitting finish—the vibrant “Song of Celebration.” Truly, this cd will satisfy anyone who appreciates joyful and Eclectric music!

  • EXCITING & MOVING!! "Eclectric" is an amazing album!
    author: Alex Neuman

Jason & Nolan's "Eclectric" album is full of exciting and moving original compositions, as well as some new arrangements of favorite traditionals. The blend of contemporary styles with more classical flavors is a treat for anyone who loves instrumental music. Their rendition of "Danny Boy" is my personal favorite, as well as the very joyous "Song of Celebration." A song called "The Painter" is one of the most unique and rythmic pieces I have ever heard. The various uses of the electric violin is quite extraordinary, while maintaining the warmth and elegance of traditional violins. This is an awesome album.
