Album Notes

Don’t like what you hear on the radio? Get out there and change it. Songwriter and artist Jason Pure believes firmly in that proactive motto. The South Carolina native turned ATLien has contributed to such stellar indie projects as Deonna Martin’s Beauty Mark and Chimere’s Turn Me Up. Now the 22-year-old is being proactive again as he releases his debut indie CD Seasons: Perspectives of a Writer. Musical influences from Babyface to Incubus to John Legend can be heard on this 8-song collection. Lead single “The Exception” is an honest love song, where a lover acknowledges his flaws while asking for his lady to stick it out. “Separate Myself” takes a different spin, addressing feelings of depression and self-imposed isolation. Another highlight, “Little Bit of Something” encourages everyone to share his/her creativity and positivity with the world. Overall, Seasons serves as a sampling of what is to come from Jason’s future endeavors as an artist and as a writer/producer. Or in his own words: “Music is the biggest playground ever… I’m ready to see what’s next.”

This is a great cd! This is one that I can pop in my cd player in the house and clean to or in the car and just groove to. It has been a while since I purchased a cd with such a dual purpose and a great sound. Keep on making great music!
