ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Jason Rogers was formed in 1990 in Anchorage, Alaska. As the sole founding member, Jason takes the role of singer, songwriter, musician, performer, engineer and producer.

Jason's musical influences come from the great rock bands of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Some say his lyrical style is comparable to John Waite of The Baby's, others say his musicality is an amalgamation of the many influences of his rock predecessors.

Jason's music can be described as a hint of a little bit of everything all mixed into one, creating a sound that is both familiar and yet at the same time, new and refreshing. Jason describes it as “Panty Rock filled with dripping classic overtones — stiff and hard, just like good Rock should be!”

Jason picked up his first acoustic guitar at the rebellious age of sixteen. After fumbling with the basics, he finally got his first electric guitar some years later — a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior.

While Jason has learned to play many different instruments, the guitar is still his first passion. Jason did not officially begin his music career until he came to Alaska, where he began playing his music for live audiences.

Jason's first real success came when he joined a three piece band named Light Year. They entered a Miller Brewing Company Rock to Riches talent contest with one of his songs. The wining song, When I'm In Love, was placed on the regional Offering LP by Starstream Records. This was Jason's first volley into the record business.

Jason has continued his musical journey, recording several demo's, music videos and performing many live shows at the famous Chilkoot Charlie's in Anchorage and throughout Alaska. He shares it all on his new Artist Records release, Paradigm. He has also maintained a popular Internet presence since 1999.

The new Brian May?
I can’t honestly say I’ve heard anything like this before. Is this guy the new Brian May? Wow! The guitar’s on Paradigm are great, in fact the whole thing is very well recorded and produced.

Anonymous — Washington, DC

Very hot, very new!
Wow…what a drummer! The beat in An American is so unusual. I can’t believe the guy was able to maintain it. The guitars are great and the vocals are excellent. I give it 5 stars!

Niles — Stjørdal, Norway

A lection in how to play the guitar!
The songs on Jason Rogers’ Paradigm CD makes you drum your fingers on the table and makes you want to play the guitar, at least that’s what happened to me! The guitar work is really awesome.

SnakeCrew — Crested Butte, Colorado

This is Rock!
Stellar guitar work here and on the whole, great musicianship and production. The quality of talent here is undeniable. I can’t believe you aren’t signed!

Jason Rogers’ Paradigm — Yes!
Rock on! Haven’t heard anything this kick ass in a long while. Nice job with the vocal harmonies and guitars on Paradigm — Wishbone Ash for the new millennium.

Crazy 27653 — Mundelein, Illinois

You Rock!
One of the hottest CD’s I’ve heard in a long time. Sounds like stuff you’d hear on the radio! I give you 5 stars. It blew me away when I heard it! I called my Mom in the room and she liked it! Great work!

MrKnobs — Austin, Texas

Imagine this on the radio!
Jason Rogers’ Paradigm has great energy, well put together. Love the guitar riffs. The vocals are awesome. Not to many stations where I live that play new rock like this.
