Album Notes

Educated in Electronic Music Composition and Classical Guitar Jaspr learned the bulk of her songwriting craft while spending time with Folk music hero John Prine when they shared the personal management of Al Bunetta Management Co. Influenced by Prine, Jaspr learned the value of delivering the story.

Because Jaspr’s point of focus is primarily relationship based, most listeners immediately find reference to their own experience in her songs.

Her vocal delivery both naked and viably honest captures your attention at first listen. This quality is what attracted art rock guru John Cale to have Jaspr sing on his 2006 release “Black Acetate” and also for Dreamworks Records artist and producer Carl Stephenson (Beck, Forest for the Trees) to co-write and sing with Jaspr on his first radio hit “Dream” (#16 Billboard alt rock) in 1997.

" Arrive" is a 4 song EP written and performed by Jaspr, released in 2008. Co-produced by Jaspr and two engineer/producers they captured a style both freshly painted and worn in. If you listen closely you can hear the cricket drum fill on “Life is my University”. Playing acoustic and electric guitar masterfully, electric bass, djembe and random percussion, Jaspr shines on her eclectic tastes adding layers to an organic gourmet soup at just the right temperature.
