BIOGRAPHY.

JAW was formed in 2000 as an outlet for imagination and expression. Since its inception, the world of JAW has evolved into more than just aggressive music on edge; it is now a state of mind. A visual, stylistic and poetic amalgamation that ignores conventional thinking yet ensures cohesive understanding for all those who choose to discover.

Independent from the beginning, the first years of Jaw's existence were utilized not only to combine musical and conceptual ideas, but also to understand the difficulties and the necessary perseverance needed to achieve success. Their impasse ended with the recording of a five song EP that was released in the spring of 2003. The self-titled EP received many accolades and JAW managed to move over 500 units locally in a few short months. Unsatisfied with the conveyance of the EP's message, JAW felt that a better representation was needed in order to guarantee a full understanding of the group's concepts and ideas. With the passage of time, individually they grew to become one. With this progression their visions became parallel along with the realization of growth unending. JAW's forth-coming album, which is currently in pre-production, will be a clear and decisive representation of the path taken and the winding road ahead.

An additional medium was required to further convey the full spectrum of the bands visual and written concepts, their official website (www.xjawx.com) was created in February of 2004. This allowed for a much greater understanding of the many facets of JAW. The website quickly generated tens of thousands of hits, reaching over 240 000 in just 7 months. JAW now knows that many others all over the world share in their state of mind. All this accomplished with minimal resources, an unwavering work ethic and a lot of positive word of mouth.
