Album Notes

Jay Brown is an original, roots-oriented one-man-band who lives in the Appalachian mountains of western North Carolina. His music is inpired by countless blues and jazz artists from by-gone days, classic songwriters such as Dylan, Paul Simon, Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, and John Lennon, Classical European and Indian music, and regional hero Doc Watson. He performs regularly with his band, Lazybirds, and as a one-man-band. At his solo gigs he sings and plays guitar, harmonica, and taps, all while juggling cats.
