OCTOBER UPDATE: We are very proud to announce that Eat Like A Rainbow is a Parents’ Choice Approved Award Winner!

Eat Like A Rainbow is a rocking, funky, danceable collection of quirky kids songs about healthy food and sustainable living. Specifically promotes fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, and seeds - plant based foods from our farms and gardens.

If you'd like to buy more than one CD, please contact Jay at 413-627-3145, or email him at info@jaymankita.com to discuss bulk pricing discounts.

A healthy portion of the proceeds from the sale of these albums directly supports the NY Coalition for Healthy School Food (NYCHSF) and their work to bring healthy food to our schools!

Jay Mankita tours in a van fueled by recycled vegetable oil. He
writes and performs music which promotes a healthy, sustainable future. For
more information, check out Jay’s website at www.jaymankita.com

The album is dedicated to Amie Hamlin, the Director of NYCHSF, who first commissioned Jay to write these songs and perform them as a pilot in New York City Schools. NYCHSF, and other organizations like it are in the forefront of educating children, their families, schools, communities, and governments of the importance of healthy food. For more information, check out their website, www.healthyschoolfood.org

Special thanks also to the New York City Board of Education, Department of School Foods for their participation in both the NYCHSF pilot and follow-up projects that allowed us to bring these songs into 20 NYC urban schools.

This One's Delicious!
author: Beth B. Miller
As a food-conscious, music-loving mom, I have to say this album is delicious and good to the last drop (or track)! Besides love, there's nothing more important to give our kids than good food. He speaks to this in such a variety of ways - making good food even more cool. This album is truly brilliant - a must have for every food-conscious, music-loving family! Vegetarians will love it!

This CD is the best!
author: Stephanie Templeton, RD
I am a Registered Dietitian and can't tell you how much I love this CD! It not only talks about healthy foods, and junk food, but sustainability and our environment. A must buy for anyone interested in a fun way to teach healthy value to our kids. Actually, I love the music so much I would listen to it, even if I didn't have a child. I have bought several copies for friends as well- a great, unique gift.

Hurray! This CD is a must have for kids of all ages. My 3 year old has not let me take this CD out of the car. He tells everyone about how the "Junk Food Man" tries to get you, sings along with "Everybody Likes Fruits and Vegetables" (Bananananananana...)and has adopted a "New food Attitude!" (Last week he wanted me to buy guavas at the market!?! As a parent and a Music therapist, I give Jay a "Healthy" thumbs up!
