'Apt 201 (& Other Short Stories)' is a project two years in the making. Written, performed, recorded and produced by Matthes (except where noted) 'Apt 201' features some of his strongest songs to date. Look for collaborations with established solo artists Heather Jean Maywood and Phil Norby, as well as guestwork from former bandmates David Wacker, Pat Kelly, Nick Deprey, and Michael Spencer.
Matthes recorded the majority of the music in a childhood bedroom at his parent's house. You can count the audio effects used for this album on one hand, with most tracks recorded from beginning to end using little to no editing at all. The result is 14 tracks of unprocessed honesty, and an album that is as unique as it is soulful.
