ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The recordings of a truly "free" artist not yet tethered by financial demands. Possibly pretentious, maybe drifty, definitely interesting. Jay's second album gets diverse; every song is a different world. Horn sections, banjo, heavy guitars, piano ballads, synthesizers... Prepare to be confused and delighted.

Epic ballad "Struggling With Myself" opens the album with Jay's voice soaring in full drama. There are rock songs ("Thursday's Idol" and "Thanksgiving") and there are oddities ("coldcoolwarmhot" and "Liz"). Listen for an early vocal appearance by major label artist Shannon Curfman on the extremely dark, "Pink Screaming Girl".
