ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Born to this world, Kevon.Kengie.Miller, on April 28, 1981, in a small village, way out from the City of Trinidad, he was raised on the South Side of Trinidad as a little boy. When he was only three years of age, he moved to the Island of Grenada, been that both his parents were born Grenadian citizens.

As a young boy, he was into many things a normal five year old would only imagine and dream of. Ever since I’ve known him, he loved music.

He started getting into the music thing when he was twelve years of age. He was a Pan Player for the Pan Lovers. His favorite pan was the Tenor pan. He also enjoyed playing the keyboard at a young stage.

While being in a Primary School Level, he joined the School Choir for a few years until he graduated from that level of education. It’s at the Primary Level; he got his artistic name from. Doom which was a very unusual name at this stage of his life is now known to many people through out Grenada, Trinidad, New York, England, Australia and many other places to mention today.

On leaving his Primary Level of Education, he went to the Secondary Level of Education; there he joined the Choir once more. On going to Secondary School, is where he tested out his singing talent. It’s there students of his class and the rest of the school, knew him for his wonderful voice.

In 1995, he started taking his singing a little seriously. And started taking voice control classes to enhance his voice when singing for a few months.

In 1999, he started going to studio and started doing recordings but as a vocalist on other artistes songs. It’s at that level he started writing his own lyrics for songs of his own use. There he meets with an artiste, who is known today as “Amazon”. That’s where he really learnt of his potential.

In 2000, he started in the free styling business and in that process introduced Slick Dog to rap. It’s there, Slick Dog learnt of the Rap Game.
In 2001, he started off with a rap Group trio called “Island-All-stars” which was consist of Boots, Knox and himself. They did many songs together for a few years, but in 2004, he disbanded with the Rap Group, and went on his own Musical adventure, to record his First Single to be aired on all Radio Stations. With his first single ever, to be played to the public, gained him some recognition on air. His first recording was on the Break-out Riddim with a song entitlement, “Miss Jennifer”.

In 2005, his songs were recorded at Sugar Raye Music Productions in Trinidad.

In 2006, he was signed to Grizique Records, a local label. He came out with two Singles under that label. One of his singles came out under the “Fantasy Riddim”; “You should remember me” was the entitlement song and “Inside de Fete” an original Groovy Soca song. He entered into the Groovy Soca Preliminary Competition but never made it to the Semi-final rounds. But both these hot singles, did give him a lot of recognition and he deserved every bit of it.

Now signed to a newly opened Label “Southern Range Entertainment”, he is definitely more confident of his music career as a musician. While still in 2006, he worked with Island All-stars again to produced the most undisputed underground mix tape album in Grenada ever, Chuck’s and G’s vol. 2 from straight out of greens. He did three tracks and featured the rest on the album.

But in 2007, he decided to disband again, once more to venture outside on his own. He started to put in work, as quick as possible. With work already put in for 2007 Soca Season, he need not worry about the rest of the year.
