Jenifer "Jazz'e" Nutzmann was born in North Carolina. She has lived in the San Fernando Valley for many years now. I met her in 2002 and we began singing, some writing and preparing for the studio. I wrote "Color Blind" because I think the world is to prejudicial, judgemental, and downright delusional. One line goes "When people say stick to your own kind, don't be so shallow, don't pay them no mind". We're not preaching, Jenifer and I know as an inter racial couple (I'm going to ask her to marry me soon) we know people judge you by your skin, not your character sad...but true. Jenifer sings from the heart, she makes my life and my music come alive.
She can sing anything too, I mean I've showed her gospel, rock jazz, country, ballads, so beautiful, so talented.
I hope you guys dance your butts off to this tune but I want the message to come across as well. I hope this tune goes 'round the world.
"Epetha" come from a sermon I heard in church. I'll be brief...promise.Jesus came across a man in the desert with a speech problem. The man needed help so Jesus put his hand on the man's tongue, whispered in his ear "Epetha" (that's latin for to open)and the man could hear and speak perfectly. So we rocked it up a bit with some cool guitar playing from Mario Augustin Curioga and Manuel Mendoza, we made a cool Christian Rock tune. Again, makes you dance with a message.So since I'm the songwriter, I might be partial but I think everyone will dig Jazz'e.They'll be much more to come in the future, guaranteed!
