It is with high hopes that my new single "Peace In The City" will begin to make people think about the importance of promoting love, respect, and promoting peace all over the world. No one needs to live in fear or perish before their time.
Jazmina Smith aka Jazzi was born on May 21, 1998 to Thomas Smith and Brenda Long in Chicago, Illinois. Before Jazmina was two years old, she was entertaining family and friends by singing and acting. She enjoys being the center of attention. Jazmina is aspiring actress, writer and a rapper who communicates positive lyrics. She began acting in 2010, she was part of a play at Apostolic Faith Church in Chicago, IL the play was part of the Changing Life Education Initiative, Inc.’s (CLEI), the play was entitled “Pressure”, Written by Audrey Johnson, President of CLEI. Jazmina played the role of Laura who was one of the co-stars in the play. Jazmina currently is writting lyrics, acting, rapping and has been since the age of 12.
In January 2012, Jazmina auditioned for acting classes at John Robert Powers-(JRP) in Chicago and was selected to participate in their program. She studied with Bill Miller of (JRP) to improve her commercial, television and monologue skills. In March 2012, she auditioned at the Hyatt Regency Hotel representing (JRP), to attend the International Presentation of Performers (IPOP) in Los Angeles, CA from July 1- July 6, 2012. Jazmina was selected to attend (IPOP), along with Scott Calcagno Director and Casting Director, and so was provided a private coaching session to prepare for the event. Jazmina won an award for the top 10 monologue (Chicken Dance) at IPOP. In June 2012, she auditioned for Ne-Ke’s Thearte Company for acting and rapping and was selected to participate in the talent show. Jazmina participated in a play called “Angie (Little Orphan)” on September 1-2, 2012. The play was an amazing musical, full of singing, dancing and excitement. It’s characteristic of the epic “Angie’ but with a twist of urban Chicago favor that will knock your socks off. Jazmina played the role of an aspiring young rapper named "Jazzi".
Wayne Harrison, Director of New Talent at The Crawford Agency, announced that Jazmina has been signed with the prestigious agency as of August 8, 2012. The Crawford Agency has offices in New York, Miami, and Hollywood, and works with both actors and models. The agencies most recent television projects include Disney’s Shake It Up, Zeke & Luther, Desperate Housewives, How I Met Your Mother, and Criminal Minds. Crawford also works with such commercial clients as Target, Great Clips, Best Buy, McDonald, Honey Baked Hams, Bing, and others. Jazmina was scouted by The Crawford Agency at international talent convention. Jazmina attended the scouting event under the direction of John Robert Powers-Chicago. According to Mr. Harrison, Jazmina receives national auditions that will be submitted into the market.
Jazmina wrote the lyrics to her new rap titled “Peace In The City” on August 1, 2012. She also co-produced the beat with Spike Rebel and Brenda Long who is her Mother and Manager.
Jazmina and her brother Thomas created a logo "Peace In The City" on August 10, 2012, which will be printed on t-shirts and other apparel to promote the message of peace.
Jazmina is currently working on a book of poetry. The book will feature 30-short poetry. Jazmina started working on her poetry book on August 15, 2012.
Jazmina attends Muchin College Prep, Downtown in Chicago, Illinois. She is extremely

Jazmina possess special skills that she has acquired over time. She is able to model, dance, write monologues, act in scripts, rap, and recite poetry. Jazmina is very Athletic she can play basketball, volley ball, and run track. She also has good memorization, leadership and communication skills. She is awaiting her first “big break” in the entertainment industry.
