Jazz Speak has found a way to retain the core of each song while transforming each piece into a fresh perspective. This live CD is a rare gift as it captures a true, live performance where 'the take' is what you get. The players' sense of dynamics and in performance mix is exceptional. A must for a jazz lover and performer's library.

Jazz Speak talks with an understated & elegant musical lexicon.

Prepared for the most complex musical acrobatics, effortlessly performing difficult key changes, and cooly maintaining their bonded-together sound, Brian, Gary, Mike and Brock are the essential jazz quartet. They are fascinating to watch, not because they are moving, but because they made me move thoughtfully with them. I haven't heard one song played either in person or on the CD that I would not wish to hear over and over again. They are a band for the general public to listen too and admire as well as musicians' musicians!
