Album Notes

Mr. Julius E. Brockington is the consummate of a professional musician who has come full circle in his musical career. Julius was born in Pumphrey a suburb of Anne Arundel County.

Julius attended Bates High School where he learned to play the saxophone, drums and the piano. Julius became so proficient in playing these musical instruments that it awarded him the privelege to travel around the country with a local entertainment group called "We Four Trio."

Julius began his musical career as a Rhythm and Blues artist. He won national acclaim for the albums. " The Brockingtons " and " Sophisticated Funk " which were released in the early 1970's. Also during the seventies he was the head of the A & R Department for Perceptions Today Records in New York City. The genius exhibited in his next album release. " The United Chair " won him a guest appearance along with Little Richard on the Tonight Show, hosted by Johnny Carson in the mid 1970's.

Julius produced a single for Bobby Rydell entitled, " Everything Seemed Better When I Was Younger," and a single for the group, King Harvest entitled, Celestial Navigation."

After a fourteen year down period of struggling with deep personal problems. Julius found the delivering power of the Gospel of God in Jesus Christ. He became a born again Christian. After accepting Christ he began to minister and devote his time and talents for the cause of Jesus Christ.

Since then Mr. Brockington has produced albums on his record label Joel and Micah Music, such as "Praise Him", "The Lord Will See You Through", "Harbor Place", "In The Light Of His Word","Give The Children What They Need","Isaiah 53" and "The Will Of God".

Mr. Brockington is currently the director of music at the Manna Bible Baptist Church under the spiritual guidance of Dr. Joseph Brown.
