J-BEST

BIO
Name: Jason Hashaway

Born: April 21, 1978 @ 12:08 A.M. in Kaiser Hospital located on,
Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, California.
Raised: By my mother, Terri Hashaway, due to separation,
from my father, Nathaniel Hashaway.
Musical Background (schools): Jr. High; West Angeles Christian Academy; my Uncle Kendal use to play guitar with Billy Dee's son, appeared on TV, and do other big moves which motivated me in a positive direction; my other Uncle Ernie gives me good inspiration, his band used to open up for Dave Matthew's Band on the road
and teaches a lot through his actions; Cal State Dominguez Hills(C.S.D.H) 2 year Audio Music Engineering and Synth knowledge; intern Studio 56 and cross roads studio's; 4 year Jimi Petulla/ Clear Lake audio Engineering apprentice.
Musical Background: Songwriting, Producing, Engineering, Keyboard Scales and Chords, Acid, Protools, Sonar, Sound Forge, Mixing, Promotion,
Executive Production, Mastering.
Shows: LA Trade Tech College, Chereese Records Showcase, "Lockdown" my video shoot, Goldfinger Night Club, Music box, Key Club.
Background: I started coming up with lines in my head at the age of 12 I was telling my man I got rhymes(I listened to RunDMC, Ice Cube, Ghetto Boys, Eazy-E and Young MC....) I liked to get my Mack on at the Fox Hills Mall, so I would come up with sweep lines to kick to the hotties. He said I couldn't be a real rapper.
I played ball through Elementary and High School. Smoking and chilln' out one day
after I graduated from High School I saw a commercial for C.S.D.H. for classes in the studio and a 48 track console, I was hooked. In my second year in college I was
shot at a college house party in the hood by an AK-47 assault riffle I stayed in Cenntinela Hospital in Inglewood for two months, I was released right before 1999.
I was blessed to go to NY 1999 again, came back to LA continued my musical trade at Clear Lake Audio in Burbank for four years, went on to create "Super Superb LP" which was on MP3.com with over 750 listens and street sales totaling over $2,000.00 and rising. I see the growth in my music coming full circle.

5 years from now: I plan to be very influential in HIP-HOP. I am expecting God willing MO' money MO' problems so they say. Become a very established artist and influential music maker. I'm talking House, Cars, Bank Accounts off of my talents, hustle and prayer alone and not selling my soul.

J- BEST: J is for Jason. BEST is just a hot name, but in Eighth grade I was voted BEST OVERALL with another girl in my class I keep that love and I plan on giving
it back in a real way.

CURRENTLY RUNNING A DROP ON 100.3 THE bEAT FOR THE ERIC CUBICHE SHOW 7:00 TO 10:00.
