I've watched Johnny Guitar play for years and already KNOW the man is seriously talented. It was nice to hear what he could do on his own, but I must say that his sound is better when surrounded by the Rev and all the rest of the Bad News Blues Band. Johnny's ON with all his music, but he just doesn't seem to click with these musicians like he does with the BNBB guys. Still love it though!

Johnny 'Guitar' Blommer is a seriously talented Tucson,Ariz.,guitar-slinger and singer. He leads his crack band through nicely penned tunes, mostly his own,on Still Cadillacin'. These folks are well-versed in many styles, including smoking shuffles ('Johnny's Boogie'),straight-up blues (Junior Watson's 'Gangster of Love'), and mellow, jazzy soul (Charles Brown's 'Fool's Paradise'). Highly recommended.

The CD is phenomenal. I paricularly like the mix of original tunes and covers with a new (better) sound. The talent of all of these musicians comes through in this work.
