Album Notes

Soothing and melodic, sophisticated yet tender, and sprinkled with humor, J.C. & Anphibius's tales of love, lost love, and self-love will make you feel as if you're in your own sitting room sipping cognac, contemplating your sins in a fog of bitter irony.

Seven European tours have yielded mounting enthusiasm. The duo performs regularly in venues in England, France, Switzerland, Denmark, and The Netherlands. In New York, the band's home base, venues have included The Mercury Lounge, The Knitting Factory, Joe's Pub, Fez, and other clubs.

Resurrection Jingles, the duo's second album, collects 10 songs in settings more lushly arranged than on their first album, and somewhat more upbeat. Live drums, strings, horns, harp, and even frogs sonically season the songs, creating a prettily dark sounscape within which the duo's voices croon and creep like lounge lizards on a hot rock.

Experiencing J.C. & Anphibius may not change your life. The only guarantee is that every song will tell a story.
