"Lasso" is the debut album of country singer/songwriter Jeffrey Charles, produced by the multi-Grammy-winning team of Michael and Ron Morales.
Jeffrey is an 11-year Air Force veteran and former staff sergeant who served in Kuwait during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He wrote one of the songs on the album, "Ali Ali Al Salem," while stationed in Kuwait. The song became the anthem of the base, and he has performed it for wounded warriors and such luminaries as former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack and Gen. H. Steven Blum of the Air National Guard.
Charles began writing songs in 2003 and, when he left the Air Force in 2007, decided San Antonio was the perfect place to launch his fusion of rock and traditional country music, which has been described as Johnny Cash meets the Texas Hill Country - with Dwight Yoakam at the bar.
