JCK 5 Year anniversary album is an Independent release from the pioneers of haberdash rap to commemorate 5 years of recorded music and live performances. The Album features 17 tracks and spans an hour of music. Includes such hits as 'Freak in the Club' 'Truly Mine' and remakes of such Kiwi classics as the Exponents 'Victoria' and Darcy Clays 'Jesus I was Evil'. The Album reflects the groups lighter humorous side. With tongue and cheek skit 'Booty love' and songs such as 'Radio song' 'JCK' and 'Truly mine' which are just plane hilarious. JCK are self proclaimed 'Haberdash rap' a term they use to describe their warped innovative style. This album is a must for searchers of rare and unique music.

The Sound
The best way to describe JCK's sound is definitely Haberdash Rap. A breakaway from traditional Hip Hop with elements of Rock, Funk, Pop and Electronica. On one hand the group have huge Pop sensibilities with catchy hooks and choruses sung by sultry singer Lou Ludbrook. On the other hand front man James Castady-Kristament brings an almost gothic sound to the music like a brooding vampiric figure. If you could imagine a rapping vamp, a 'Count Rapulla' if you will. JCK seem to explore every facet of sound and emotion and cover a large musical and emotional spectrum from comedic lyrics and moods to darker and more ethereal feeling joints. A hard group to describe or fit in a nut shell until you hear the music and experience the seemingly impossible mixture of styles coming together in there very own unique sound.
