ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
So why is it called the Other Side of the Knife?

Singer songwriter John Cullimore, has been nicknamed the 'Singing Surgeon', following the publicity surrounding his musical activities but John's musical roots were firmly established as a boy growing up in Liverpool in the midst of the Merseybeat euphoria of the 60's. Music took a back seat to Medicine as he trained to become a medic in London. Nevertheless , the musical flames were never extinguished ,as John amassed a wealth of original material which has finally been recorded. So this disk really represents the other side of his life.

John would like to thank all those CD baby patrons who have bought the disk , including all the 'new' Cullimore's who've become acquainted as a result of his music.

This is a foot tapping and enchanting CD and I'd like to hear more
The Other Side of The Knife was a very tuneful and well balanced CD.John had a pleasent thoughtful voice. With a great backtrack and chorus. A wide variety of songs. And I enjoyed Birdsong it was simple and gave a unique feel. Also Forest Fire.I'd like to hear more. An enchanting foottapping CD.

Intelligent lyrics over poprific tunes!
An interesting mix of styles but underneath the quality of writing always shines through.Poetic and intelligent lyrics over memorable melodies. A nice mix of light pop moments blended with introspective and personal tracks. Very much a writer finding his feet and exploring his boundaries, and one can only wait with anticipation to see where John is led.
